Coronavirus (COVID-19) – In light of the evolving situation regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all face-to-face teaching at The Royal Marsden School is suspended and we are not accepting any new applications. We will be reviewing the situation regularly and should it become feasible to resume activity will do so.
The safety of those attending our courses and our patients is our primary concern and we are following all current Public Health England guidelines. Read here.
The School will be communicating directly with their staff and students to outline their plans for the delivery of each of their programmes/modules. For now, please see our Student Q&A for more information.
Moodle offers flexibility in learning, allowing students to study and access resources at times that suit them. It is used to deliver ‘online only courses’, as well as support classroom-based courses.
Academic staff in the School have significant experience in developing technology-enhancing educational materials. They are enthusiastic about the benefits of this approach, and have developed an exciting and innovative range of tools to support and enhance students’ learning.
Students have access to online activities, presentations and quizzes, and can participate in discussion forums. Moodle also facilitates easy access to library catalogues and Learning Enhancement Resources. Students submit their assignments online and receive timely feedback and their results through this system.
We are aware that students have different levels of familiarity with using online resources, so we have developed a step-by-step guide for new students, written in plain English. In addition to a comprehensive online ‘help’ facility, our Student Support Services team is also available to assist.
