The David Adams Library was founded in 2003 thanks to the generous support of the David Adams Leukaemia Appeal Fund. It is open 24 hours a day and is staffed Monday-Friday, 9-5. The library provides staff and students at the Royal Marsden with access to thousands of books and journals, both in print and online, as well as study spaces, computers, and a printer. Students requiring out-of-hours access to the library space who do not work for the Royal Marsden can collect an access card from the main hospital reception when they visit.
The library also has its own search engine, Discovery, which simplifies the research process and connects students to quality resources easily. Library training sessions on searching and referencing are built into all modules and support from staff is available through phone, email, or face-to-face.
