I joined The School in October 2014 whilst completing the final component of an MSc in Advanced Practice. My clinical background is haemato-oncology, where I have enjoyed roles as a leukaemia clinical nurse specialist and ward sister of a high dose chemotherapy, transplant and ambulatory care ward.
Within both of these roles I had strong links with The School, both as a student and as an associate lecturer. Throughout my career, I have held an interest in staff development and the importance of education in delivering high-quality care.
My teaching interests link closely with my previous clinical background and involve topics such as cancer treatment and care, haemato-oncology, stem cell transplant and ambulatory care. I also have an interest in emerging leaders and enjoy collaborating with colleagues on our leadership modules and staff development programmes.
To date, my own research has been focused on ambulatory care outcomes.
