Course summary

This module aims to equip health and social care professionals with the fundamental communication skills necessary to enable them to assess and support people’s emotional and psychological needs. This module will introduce the student to the evidence base underpinning good communication skills, and will explore the importance of effective communication skills with clients, relatives and colleagues. Theories and models of communication will be integrated with communication practice, equipping them with the skills and confidence to manage challenging situations.

The module leader was very good, very informative and helped me to improve my communication skills.
