A focus on holistic assessment and care, compassion in practice and communication skills underpin the teaching. Students will build a theoretical and clinical foundation for their practice, so that they will be able to demonstrate their skills and knowledge and be confident to support patients in the community.
Students will be expected to apply critical thinking and reflection, and to participate in practical skills training to enhance their competence. Assessment of learning will be tested through a series of OCSE stations (objective, structured, clinical examinations) at the end of the course.
