Course summary

Are you a healthcare support worker who wants to learn more about cancer care? This study day is aimed at health care support workers caring for cancer patients in hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community.

This day has been specifically designed to equip health care support workers with the key knowledge and skills to improve the standard of care provided to cancer patients. This will include an overview of cancer, current treatments and common side effects. It will also include exploring health care support workers role in relation to assessing, caring and communicating with cancer patients and their families. 

By the end of the day we hope you will feel more confident in caring for and communicating with cancer patients and their families.
